TIFTON -- For the second week in a row, Valdosta High played mistake-laden football. And for the second week in a row, they didn't win.
Valdosta made a handful of costly mistakes, and fell 34-2 to Tift County Friday night at Gene Brodie Stadium. With the loss, Valdosta falls to 3-3 (0-1 in Region 1-AAAAA).
Tift County had not beaten Valdosta High at Brodie Stadium since 1979. The Blue Devils hadn't beaten Valdosta at all since 1993 (an 8-7 penetration victory).
Valdosta will now prepare for next week's Winnersville showdown with Lowndes.
